Grant B. Walsh, MBA, C.Dir. – Chairman of the Board

Grant B. Walsh is the Chairman of Canada Lands Company Limited (a Canadian Crown Corporation), and Medifocus Inc. (TSX-V and OTC-QX), as well as a Director of Cleveland Clinic Canada. Mr. Walsh is the Chairman of Walsh Delta Group Inc., a firm specializing in governance, strategy, leadership, and performance improvement.  Currently, he serves as the Interim President / CEO of the Group Health Centre in Sault Ste Marie, ON. Grant Walsh has been a Director / CEO / senior executive of healthcare and service organizations; public and private; for-profit and not-for-profit; U.S. and Canadian companies. Walsh served as the President / CEO of St. Peter’s Health System which operated 695 academic medical centre and long term care beds, 5 home health agencies, an Institute for Studies in Aging, a management services company, and a charitable Foundation. In addition to CEO roles, Mr. Walsh was Executive Vice President of the ServiceMaster Company, Chicago, IL where he was accountable for $550 million in revenue, 30,000 employees, and 10,000 properties in 44 states and Canada.  Assets under his leadership exceeded $30 billion. Mr. Walsh has been Executive-in-Residence and Adjunct Professor at the DeGroote School of Business of McMaster University. Grant B. Walsh holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Illinois University and a designation as a Chartered Director from McMaster University and the Conference Board of Canada.  His undergraduate degree in English and Philosophy is from Roberts Wesleyan College

(Joseph) Shuen Chuen Chan, MBA – Director

Mr. Chan, aged 64, is an executive director of Harmony Asset Ltd.. He obtained his MBA degree from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, U.K. Mr. Chan has over 30 years of accounting and management experience in the fields of industrial manufacturing, service (hotel & charitable) industry, academia and public service. Professionally, Mr. Chan is an associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and fellow members of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants as well as a member of the Certified General Accountants’ Association of Canada. Mr. Chan is an independent director of Champion Minerals Inc (TSX) since November 4, 2009, Medifocus Inc. (TSX-V) since January 29, 2010, Kaiyue International Inc. (TSX-V Capital Pool Company) since November 2009 and Yin Fu Gold Corporation (OTB, US) since September 2010.

Augustine Chow – Director

Dr. Augustine Chow, PhD, was appointed to the Board of Directors of Medifocus in August 2010. He is a Director of Harmony Asset Limited, a publicly listed investment company specializing in China and Hong Kong. He is also Chairman of Harmony Asset Management Limited, which is the investment manager of Harmony Asset Limited. Dr. Chow is Executive Director of Kaisun Energy Group Ltd. and a Director of Celsion Corporation. Dr. Chow has extensive experience in managing public listed companies that are involved in manufacturing, marketing and financial services, and specializes in mergers and acquisitions. From 1990-1998, Dr. Chow was the Chief Executive Officer of Allied Group of Companies. Prior to this, Dr. Chow held a management position of Brunswick Corporation and Outboard Marine Corporation, and was responsible for all business activities in South East Asia and China.

Mirsad Jakubovic – Director

Mirsad Jakubovic is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Jakubovic’s experience includes work as the Director of Finance and Administration for Havana House Cigar and Tobacco Merchants Ltd. and as Director of Finance and Administration for Swatch Group Canada Ltd. Mr. Jakubovic received his EMBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and his B.Comm. from the University of Toronto.

Mr. Tak Cheung Yam – Director

Mr. Tak Cheung Yam, B.Sc., has been the Chairman, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Fornton Group Limited (HKEX) since October 11, 2011. Mr. Yam has participated in various charitable activities of Yan Oi Tong, one of the six largest charitable organizations in Hong Kong and was appointed as the Chairman of Yan Oi Tong in 2007. Subsequently, he was awarded a Medal of Honor from the HKSAR Government. Mr. Yam advocated the establishment of YOT Chong Sok Un Medical Fund (Cancer Aid) in 2007, which is now the largest cancer fund in Hong Kong offering financial assistance by way of subsidized cancer drugs to cancer patients encountering financial difficulties in New Territories West. Mr. Yam obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto majoring in Computer Science and Actuarial Science in June 1983.

Dr. Augustine Y. Cheung, PhD - Executive Director – President and CEO

Previously founder and CEO of Celsion Corporation in the US and professor at the University of Maryland, Dr. Cheung is a well-known microwave expert and has presented papers internationally. He has raised significant capital in the past for Celsion and successfully developed multiple focused heat based tumor targeting cancer treatment devices and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Cheung received a PhD in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Maryland.
